Denise Lohr Stuckey, a Connecticut native, graduated summa cum laude from Herron School of Art & Design with a Fine Arts degree, a minor in Art History, and concentrations in painting and illustration. She has taught the visual arts to thousands of students. Prior to teaching, she worked in the publishing industry as a writer, needlework designer and editor-in-chief of two needlework magazines.
