Artist Bio:
I began oil painting in the early 1960’s, only finishing a few. Over the years I have painted in acrylics and watercolor which is now my main concentration. I consider myself more of a realist painter than an impressionist. I choose the pictures by subject, composition, and mood. I have to feel some emotion to the subject, which can be happiness, nostalgia, sadness, etc. I feel I have failed if I don’t see the emotion in the finished work. Now that I am retired I hope to spend more time painting and learning new techniques.
